Admirals traveled to Holyoke to take on the Western Mass Raiders. Due to injury, Thomas Belin started at quarterback. In his first game at the helm you could see the potential for the dual threat quarterback as he rushed for 2 TDs in this 28-14 victory. The team was led by a reinvigorated defense that was much improved since their last game versus the Mustangs. Defensive end Florey Kabulo was an unstoppable force all game with 7 tackles, 4 sacks, and a forced fumble/fumble return for a touchdown. The defense was in the backfield all game not allowing the quarterback time in the pocket to look through his progressions and stopping running plays before they even got started. Defensive coordinator Peter Kane after the game said “I liked the intensity out there from my guys, we really set the tone and didn’t allow too many big plays. We still have a lot to work on and focus on tackling better but I’m happy with the performance from the defense this week.”
